The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced two upcoming public meetings to assist regulated establishments in complying with the requirements of the menu labeling final rule. The final rule requires restaurants and similar retail food establishments that are part of a chain with 20 or more locations, conducting business under the same name and offering for sale substantially the same menu items, to provide calorie information for standard menu items, among other changes.

The first meeting will occur July 7-8, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Harvey Wiley Building, 100 Paint Branch Parkway, College Park, Maryland 20740. The second public meeting, scheduled for September 27-28, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will convene at the Robert A. Young Federal Building, 1222 Spruce Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63103. An additional public meeting in Oakland, California will be announced later this year.
