The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued FSIS Directive 10,900.1: Inviting Non-FSIS Scientists For Office of Public Health Science (OPHS) Scientific Seminar Series Presentations. This directive provides information to Office of Public Health Science (OPHS) personnel on how to communicate with non-FSIS scientists from research, public, or private institutions and other government agencies to schedule presenters for the OPHS Scientific Seminar Series (SSS) Presentations.
The directive includes guidelines on establishing initial communication with presenters, communication confirmation, and follow-up.
