FSMA Training Course Announced

(North American Meat Institute)The Food Institute will hold a two-day course May 16-17, 2016, to assist food companies in complying with requirements specified in the Preventive Control for Human Food regulation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The Preventive Control for Human Food regulation requires food companies to train a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual, who will be responsible for developing a food safety plan for the company‚Äôs manufacturing facilities. Participants who complete the course, developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) and recognized by the Food and Drug Administration, will receive official FSPCA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual certification, which is administered by the Association of Food and Drug Officials and the International Food Protection Training Institute.
