Public Meetings on Modernizing Regulatory System for Biotechnology Products Announced

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) announced the remaining public meetings to discuss the memorandum entitled, “Modernizing the Regulatory System for Biotechnology Products.” The memo initiates a process to modernize the federal regulatory system for biotech products and establishes mechanisms for periodic updates to that system. The second public meeting to discuss the proposed modernization will take place March 9, 2016, at EPA’s Region 6 office, located at 1445 Ross Avenue in Dallas, Texas. The third public meeting will be held March 30, 2016, at the University of California-Davis Conference Center in Davis, California. Additional details on meeting times, agendas and ways to participate are forthcoming.
