Trade Data Through November Now Available

The latest Trade and Market Statistics Report released by USDA and compiled by the Meat Institute presenting data through November 2015 is now available. Total beef export volume and value were both down compared to the same period in 2014. Pork export values and volumes also were lower than 2014 totals. Beef exports to South Korea, however, remained strong, increasing seven percent in volume compared to the same period in 2014. Pork exports to South Korea showed significant growth from January to November, increasing 27 percent in volume and 11 percent in value, despite the overall decline in pork export numbers. Meanwhile, pork exports to Japan were down 13 percent in volume and 18 percent in value, while exports to Mexico increased five percent in volume, but declined 20 percent in value.
