FSIS Announces 2016 Rate Changes

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the 2016 rates it will charge meat and poultry establishments, egg products plants and importers and exporters for providing voluntary, overtime and holiday inspection, identification, certification and laboratory services. The new basetime rate is $54.56 per hour, per employee, while the overtime rate is now $69.20 per hour, per employee. The 2016 holiday rate is $83.84 per hour, per employee and the new laboratory service rate is $69.96 per hour, per employee. FSIS will apply these new rates beginning February 7, 2016.
