President Barack Obama will meet with leaders of the 11 other Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) countries this Wednesday in Manila, Philippines, during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. This represents the first meeting of TPP leaders since the agreement was finalized in early October. The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) recently released the full text to the final Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement, a trade deal between the U.S. and 11 Asia-Pacific region countries that would cover approximately 40 percent of the global economy.
Canada's new federal agricultural minister last week also said he is likely to support the TPP agreement, which the previous government negotiated. Canada's new prime minister, Justin Trudeau, has not yet taken a firm position on TPP.share on facebook share on twitter
