Foundation Seeks Research Proposals on Microbial Pathogens in Meat and Poultry

The Foundation distributed its annual request for proposals requesting proposals on applied and fundamental research that will improve the control of microbial pathogens in meat and poultry. Detailed priorities are organized under the following topics: Salmonella in meat and poultry products; Shiga toxin-producing E. coli in fresh beef products; Listeria monocytogenes on ready-to-eat (RTE) meat and poultry products; and other food safety issues. Proposals are due by Tuesday, August 25, 2015, after which they will be reviewed and evaluated for potential funding by the Foundation's Research Advisory Committee .
