The U.S.-China Agriculture and Food Partnership (AFP), of which NAMI is a member, will partner with the China Meat Association to hold a series of technical seminars on September 19, 2015, in Qingdao, China. The seminars, titled "Farm to Chopsticks," will be co-located with the China International Meat Industry Exhibition (CIMIE), an international meat show that provides an overview of trends in the global meat industry and aims to promote cooperation and market development among attendees. The seminars will address topics related to food chain quality and safety assurance, as well as technical issues concerning the production and sale of safe food. Additional sessions will cover best practices in global meat production along with meat inspection and regulatory oversight issues. The AFP is the key public-private sector coordinator for bilateral food and agriculture cooperation between the U.S. and China.
