Meat Industry Management Conference Registration Open

Registration is open for NAMI's Meat Industry Management Conference, scheduled from April 15-18, 2015, at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, California. This annual conference will feature education sessions covering an array of topics, including food safety, government regulations, economics and workforce issues. NAMI committee, Board of Directors and membership meetings will also take place. Attendees will also have numerous opportunities to network and attend social events. Two general sessions were also announced. The first, entitled "Priorities and Pressures for the North American Industry," will address challenges and critical issues facing the meat and livestock industry and will feature Neil Dierks, CEO of the National Pork Producers Council; Peter Orwick, executive director of the American Sheep Industry Association; Forrest Roberts, CEO of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association; and Phil Seng, president and CEO of U.S. Meat Export Federation. The second session, "True Beef," will include a presentation from Chef Mike Erickson, who will share a story about a vocational program making a difference in the lives of students by teaching about the meat industry from farm to fork.
