Monday, March 2, 2015

(North American Meat Institute)

FDA released FDA-iRISK 2.0, an enhanced version of the free, web-based tool that helps users conduct their own quantitative risk assessments in support of food safety. FDA-iRISK 2.0 allows users to rank and compare food safety risks and to predict the effectiveness of prevention and control measures. The updated version features advanced modeling methods, innovative results reporting and easier data-sharing, among other improvements. FDA's Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition will host a free webinar to highlight the tool's new features on March 11, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET. The FDA-iRISK tool will be available on Foodrisk.org immediately following this webinar.
