Meat Institute Discusses Importance of U.S.-China Partnership at Wilson Center Event

NAMI Senior Vice President of International Affairs Bill Westman discussed the latest developments in the U.S.-China Agriculture and Food Partnership at an event sponsored by the Wilson Center's China Environment Forum that addressed food safety as it relates to the modernization of China's meat supply chains. Westman noted the shared responsibility among farmers, industry and government to ensure quality assurance in the meat supply chain and outlined ways to handle livestock waste in an economically efficient and environmentally sustainable manner.
