FDA Announces Dietetics and Nutrition Webinar Series

FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) and the Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (JIFSAN)are jointly sponsoring a food and nutrition webinar series to communicate information about FDA's food and nutrition regulatory processes. The webinar series consists of four presentations, with two scheduled to occur in spring and two in fall of 2015. The first session, scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. ET on March 24, will discuss nutrition labeling of standard menu items in restaurants and similar retail food establishments, as well as calorie labeling of articles of food in vending machines. The second webinar, which will be held on April 20 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. ET, will provide an overview of gluten-free labeling requirements.
