FSIS Announces New 2015 Rates

USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a notice announcing the 2015 rates that it will charge meat and poultry establishments, egg products plants and importers and exporters for providing voluntary, overtime and holiday inspection and identification, certification and laboratory services. The 2015 rates, calculated on a per hour, per employee basis, are: $70.28 for overtime, $85 for holidays and $70.52 for laboratory services. FSIS also increased the basetime compensation rate to $55.60 per hour, per employee. The new rates will be applied beginning February 22, 2015.
