The Livestock, Poultry and Seed Program (LPS), within USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), is hosting a recruitment event at the 2015 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE), scheduled from January 27-29, 2015, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. LPS is recruiting to fill summer internship openings, as well as full-time positions for qualified recent graduates. Full-time positions include agricultural commodity graders for poultry and shell egg plants, commodity procurement technicians and student trainees in meat grading.
To be considered, individuals must apply in person. LPS plans to interview and extend offers of employment on-site at IPPE. For additional information regarding the application process, click here.
The 2015 IPPE will also feature the College Student Career Program, which connects college students seeking professions in the poultry industry with human resource managers and recruiters at industry companies. The three-day program is one of the largest industry career events, and NAMI member companies are eligible to participate for a $50 fee, which includes interview booths, tables for marketing materials and access to approximately 600 students seeking full-time employment or internship opportunities. Limited spaces are still available for companies interested in conducting interviews. For more information, e-mail Barbara Jenkins at firstname.lastname@example.org on facebook share on twitter
