Two Additional Education Sessions Announced for 2015 IPPETuesday, January 6, 2015

The North American Meat Institute will sponsor two additional education sessions at the 2015 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE), scheduled for January 27-29, 2015, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The " Pre-Harvest Interventions Workshop ," which costs $150 for registered IPPE attendees, will cover regulatory guidance, key research and best practices regarding pre-harvest interventions for beef, pork and poultry. This four-hour session will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28. Featured speakers include Dr. Bryon Rippke from USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Dr. Guy Loneragan from Texas Tech University, Chad Martin from Tyson, Dr. Peter Davies from the University of Minnesota and Dr. Jeff Buhr from USDA's Agricultural Research Service.
NAMI will partner with US Poultry and Egg Association (US POULTRY) to sponsor the Meat and Poultry Research Conference from 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28. The session, which is free to registered IPPE attendees, will provide cutting-edge scientific presentations in practical, applied ways to explore the latest research in the meat and poultry industry. Featured presenters include Dr. Jeff Sindelar from the University of Wisconsin, Dayna Harhay from the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center, Dr. Guy Loneragan from Texas Tech University, Dr. Steven Ricke from the University of Arkansas, and Dr. Betsy Booren from NAMI.
