Media Reports Say WTO COOL Appeal to be DelayedMonday, November 3, 2014

Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack told DTN/The Progressive Farmer that the Obama administration likely won't appeal the World Trade Organization (WTO) ruling against the U.S. country-of-origin labeling (COOL) rule until sometime in January. The WTO says the delay is because it cannot process any additional appeals before then, due to the level of work at the WTO that is currently in the queue. The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative will make the final decision on whether to appeal the WTO ruling.
