FDA to Hold Public Meeting on FSMA Supplemental Notices

FDA has announced that it will hold a public meeting to discuss changes to four rules originally proposed in 2013 to implement the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). FDA issued supplemental notices of proposed rulemaking that offer changes and updates to original rules on Preventive Controls of Human FoodProduce SafetyPreventive Controls for Animal Food and Foreign Supplier Verification Programs. The meeting aims to solicit oral stakeholder and public comments on the supplemental proposed rules, and will inform the public about the rulemaking process. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 13, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Harvey W. Wiley Federal Building, 5100 Paint Branch Parkway in College Park, Maryland.
