Ethanol

The American Meat Institute urges Congress and the Administration to revisit our corn-based ethanol policies and to look for next generation, alternative fuels that do not pit the need to eat against the need for fuel. The U.S. should develop a portfolio approach to solving its energy needs, which includes but are not limited to biofuels, second generation ethanol products, wind, solar and resources that are derived from non-food sources.
