NAMI General Members may serve on committees by submitting a request to the committee’s staff contact. Associate Supplier members may serve on most committees.
The Legislative Affairs Committee monitors issues before Congress and oversees the Institute’s efforts on Capitol Hill. It is advised by the Human Resources Advisory Committee.
The Scientific Affairs Committee provides scientific and technical guidance on food safety, nutrition, animal and food sciences issues. It is advised by the Health and Wellness Advisory Committee, which monitors scientific developments and health policies that may impact NAMI member companies.
The International Affairs Committee monitors imports and exports and the policies that may impact the free flow of trade.
The Public Affairs Committee oversees the industry’s proactive communication efforts and its response to developments in the public arena.
The Supplier Committee monitors issues of concern to companies that supply the industry with equipment, ingredients and services.
