AMI, FMI and United Fresh Produce Association to Host COOL Workshops
Thursday, July 24, 2008(American Meat Institute)
The American Meat Institute, in partnership with the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) and the United Fresh Produce Association, will present a series of workshops in August to explain how to comply with new country-of-origin (COOL) labeling laws, set to go into effect Sept. 30, 2008.
The workshops, which will be held on August 12 at the Four Points Sheraton, Baltimore, Maryland; August 13 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare, Chicago, Illinois; and August 14 at the Wyndam Hotel, San Jose, California, provide the unique opportunity for retailers and their meat and produce suppliers to sit side by side and learn about the new laws and how to implement them together.
Attendees will hear directly from USDA experts who’ve written the regulations, get direct answers to questions and will have the opportunity to talk with industry legal and business experts about compliance with the law and supply chain efficiency.
Registration is $195 and space is limited. To register, click on one of the following links:
