Each year the North American Meat Institute in conjunction with the Foundation for Meat & Poultry Research & Education, conducts a series of annual conferences and educational workshops to meet the needs of our membership, the meat industry and their retail and food service customers.

This includes annual education conferences, topical workshops, award programs, Board of Directors & committee meetings and an annual trade show. Every event is an opportunity for industry processors, suppliers and press to learn, network and take back valuable solutions for their company and professional development.

We are fully committed to the health and safety of everyone who attends our events. We are following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and state and local governments regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and will provide regular updates to all stakeholders as the situation warrants. Meat Industry Food Safety Conference

As the premier event covering all aspects of food safety in the meat industry, the Meat Industry Food Safety Conference will provide expert instruction, sharing of best practices, research updates, and much more! This year's event will deliver a comprehensive program on the most critical food safety-related topics and plenty of time for networking and discussion. Topics to be addressed include Salmonella virulence and prevalence, whole-genome sequencing, antimicrobial interventions, bio mapping, sanitation, recall prevention, and employee engagement.


Animal Care and Handling Conference

Wholesome meat and poultry start with raising healthy animals and providing the most humane care throughout their life cycle. This year's Animal Care and Handling Conference will continue to provide expert instruction on a range of topics affecting meat and poultry processing companies by addressing key strategies for improvement in animal care and handling. Protein Pact 2022 Summit

NAMI will schedule webinars at regular intervals that will focus on either 1) time-sensitive information, or  2) topics of interest to small and very small members who may not have the necessary resources to attend in-person events.


NAMI and Foundation for Meat & Poultry Research & Education will continue to provide annual conventions, conferences, and webinars for all segments of the membership and develop special workshops, seminars and other programs to meet needs as they arise.
