Each year the North American Meat Institute in conjunction with the Foundation for Meat & Poultry Research & Education, conducts a series of annual conferences and educational workshops to meet the needs of our membership, the meat industry and their retail and food service customers.
This includes annual education conferences, topical workshops, award programs, Board of Directors & committee meetings and an annual trade show. Every event is an opportunity for industry processors, suppliers and press to learn, network and take back valuable solutions for their company and professional development.
We are fully committed to the health and safety of everyone who attends our events. In the United States, over one-third of all available food goes uneaten through loss or waste. Meat and poultry processors must utilize all available tools for continuous improvement in their food safety systems. Biomapping, the process of monitoring the efficacy of antimicrobial interventions by sampling at specific points where contamination levels can be assessed, helps processors meet performance standards and improve the microbiological quality of their products through better process control. Every day, RTE manufacturers face the challenge of controlling Listeria monocytogenes to produce safe, nutritious products. This workshop will cover the latest developments in Listeria control, taught by industry experts using real-life examples from their own plant experience.
